The client envisioned a massive 35x30 open-concept space. The initial engineering assessment suggested transitioning to heavy steel and using a crane to drop beams through the roof — significantly inflating the timeline and budget.

Through rigorous analysis of load tables and safety factors, we proposed a high-performance wood beam solution without the cost of steel. We avoided the crane rental by engineering a specialized rigging system, using winches to slide the beams through the gable end. The result: a record-breaking clear span and a seamless, open interior.

Our client came to us with a very specific, high-end vision for their living room entertainment center but needed a partner who could handle the technical execution. By providing detailed 3D sketches, we ensured the client could visualize every detail before the first cut was made.

We implemented an eco-conscious structural solution by repurposing the demolished masonry from the old wall. By encasing the material in high-durability containment units, we created a massive, stable sub-structure using recycled on-site materials. We then integrated a comprehensive French drain system beneath a new gravel and paver pathway, ensuring the home stayed dry while creating a beautiful, functional exterior transition.
